My dog

I have a female husky, it’s called Ethel and it is very sweet. Ethel is a little disobedient because it loves running and if manage, it can run away for a long time, but it always comes back! When it approaches me, it always looks for cuddles and I caress it very willingly.

Cover-19 vaccin

The whole world is waiting for the Coronavirus vaccine but there are many barriers before global immunization is feasible. Actually the only containment strategies are the total blockage of all social contact. The World Heatlh Organization has declared the state of pandemic and the world is waiting for the vaccine to counteract the serious respiratory effects caused by Covid-19. 35 companies and academic institutions are racing to create a vaccine. The first of these who will be able to create it will enter human trials immediately. This result is close thanks to Chinese genetic studies that in the past had already been effected by another Coronavirus, that of  SARS-CoV-2.

Generosity in time of Coronavirus

Lot of doctors and nurses are fighting the new Coronavirus, standing in the hospitals all day, sometimes without food. In all states and cities, like London, some people want to help them. They make meals with vegetables, meat, pasta and also pizza completely free. Thanks to social network, doctors can send a message to these people to have their meal without moving from the hospital. The very generous people show like humans can be better.

Geneva International Film on Human Rights

Despite the exceptional conditions due to the new Coronavirus pandemic, the 18th edition of Geneva International Film on Human Rights has revealed its winners. This year the festival took place online, the public could follow debates on Livestream on the festival website or on social networks, while the jury watched the films from a distance and announced the prize winners online. The winner was the film Colectiv by Alexander Nanau, from Bucharest. The film uncover high-level government corruption within the Ministry of Health.

Protests in Guinea

In Guinea in a few days will have a referendum. In that situation there are lots of protests and violences by the opposition supporters, that think that this referendum will be used by the actual president, Alpha Conde for extend his office. Now more than 30 people have been killed in this protests.

Coronavirus

On the BBC radio, Laura Foster explain how understand if you have coronavirus or if are just sick. If you are sneezing a lot, got a runny nose or you have a  headache, you can be quiet; you are probably ill. Instead if you have a simple cough and there isn’t mucus, you temperature is more than 37/38 you may have Coronavirus. BBC suggest to the people that live in the UK and that have these symptoms, to contact the online NHS 111 Coronavirus service.

What is a pandemic?

In these last days, the Coronavirus (Covid-19) was proclaimed a “pandemic”, but what does that mean? When the spread of a virus hits lots of country in the world, it is called “pandemic”. This word derives from the Greek and it means literally  “All the people”. Today 91 states are hit by this virus: China, Iran, Italy, Spain, USA, Germany, France, for example, with more 4500 deaths. In Italy there are new dispositions about the emergency.
